Halloween Holiday in Orlando, Florida

When you think of Orlando the first things that will come to mind are probably the Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort.  So unless you suffer from maskaphobia – Mickey Mouse and his trusty group of animated cronies are not particularly scary.

However, being home to what some call the “Theme Park Capital of the World” these attractions become even more animated during the Halloween season, particularly the Universal Orlando Resort which plays host to Halloween Horror Nights.

This annual Halloween event spans a month of eerie days intensifying the unnerving mood leading up to October 31st, so be wary of what’s around the corner and be prepared for the fright of your life.

Each night will feature a number of terrifying flesh-eating zombies and other cold-blooded characters that will leave you fearful of your own shadow so don’t worry if you find yourself screaming more than once.

You will find yourself fleeing through the iconic scenes of the hit TV series The Walking Dead as you escape dozens of gruesome walkers eager to attack you to feed off your body or turn you into a bloody zombie.  If you think you’ll find refuge in the haunted houses you have another thing coming, along with the multitude of scare zones.

Trying not to give too much away, this nerve-jangling experience is worth the memorable trip it lives up to be, making it arguably one of the world’s best Halloween experiences.  Halloween in Orlando is taken very seriously and is like an authentic horror film in reality and will definitely not involve the likes of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

If you enjoy the thrill of being scared you will be pleasantly surprised with the frightening experience this destination has to offer, if you don’t then this place is not for you hence why it is not recommended for children under the age of 13.
